Columbia Jewish Day School earns accreditation

Melanie Sanford of Columbia High School was named the 2007 S. C. Teacher in Excel - lence for Secondary Social Studies.

The National Association for the Education of Young Children recently reaccredited Columbia Jewish Day School (CJDS). To earn the new accreditation, CJDS had to satisfy 400 accreditation criteria. CJDS is one of only three schools in SC to attain the new accreditation, and the first school in the Midlands area to receive it.
