Hollings, former governor and U.S. Senator, and Dr. Jeffrey R.Willis, upstate historian and professor at Converse College, as the recipients of this year's annual Governor's Awards in the Humanities.

Tudy Clark, recently retired Columbia Museum of Art studio coordinator was awarded the Art Educator of the Year Award by the South Carolina Art Education Association.

Harry W. Davis Jr., director of the Children's Law Center, has been elected chairman of the Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice (FACJJ.) Davis also serves as the vice- chair of South Carolina Governor's Juvenile Justice Advisory Council.
