Sigrid Hansen Childers and John Charles Hyman, both of Columbia, were married November 3, 2007, at Shandon Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Dr. Agnes W. Norfleet performed the ceremony. Music was provided by William McNair, organist, and Alan Knight, guitarist.

The bride is the daughter of the late Gunnar and Elida Nelson Hansen of Mobile, Alabama. She received a B.A degree from Huntingdon College and an M.S. degree from the University of Tennessee.

The bridegroom is the son of the late Lewis Bernard Hyman Sr. and the late Nell Coleman Hyman of Dillon, South Carolina. He received an A.B. degree from Duke University and served in the U.S. Air Force for three years.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Katherine Yelverton, cousin of the bride. Christopher John Hyman, son of the bridegroom, served as best man.

A reception followed at the Top of Carolina, Capstone House, University of South Carolina. The couple was chauffered ina 1955 Rolls- Royce Silver Cloud. After a trip to Walterboro and Savannah, the couple will reside in Columbia.
