A.C. Flora seniors J.B. Murphy and Brewer Bradshaw signed letters of intent Wednesday, November 14, to play golf for two of college golf's powerhouses.

Murphy will play for the Furman Paladins who have won 12 Southern Conference championships with the most recent coming in 2004. Furman '83 alumnus, Brad Faxon, has won eight times on the PGA Tour and played on two Ryder Cup teams.

Bradshaw will join the Clemson Tigers who won a national championship in 2003. The Tigers have nine ACC championships, 26 NCAA tournament appearances, and finished in the top five eight times. A.C. Flora alumnus Charles Warren won an individual national championship for Clemson in 1997. He is currently on the PGA tour with past Clemson stars Jonathan Byrd and Lucas Glover.

Murphy and Bradshaw joined the A.C. Flora golf team as eighth graders where they were part of the 2004 state championship team. Last spring as juniors, they helped the Falcons win their third state championship since 2003. Murphy finished third individually while Bradshaw finished ninth.

Murphy and Bradshaw will have an excellent shot at their third state championship before they head off to Division I golf when they lead the Falcons this spring.
