The Congaree Rapid RED89 boys U18 team defeated the Summerville SC Blue U18 team 4- 1 in the championship match of the SCYSA President's Medal State Cup on Saturday, November 17 at the Columbia United FC Midlands Orthopedic fields on the campus of Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Northeast Columbia.

The Rapid RED89 finished the season 12- 1- 1 overall. Players on the U18 squad play prep soccer at Airport, Brookland- Cayce, Lexington, Lugoff- Elgin, and Richland Northeast High Schools in the Midlands area. The state title is the third for the CRSA, which was formed in 1993.
