Boris and Natasha, Chow Chows, came to SQ Rescue as young puppies. They were wandering down the road carrying their food dishes in their mouths looking for someone to feed them. The Rescue has had them for over eight years and has given them their monthly heartworm pills and flea protection. They have been well fed and cared for, even with a swimming pool to cool off in the summer. All their medical and grooming needs have been met with summer hair cuts and yearly trips to the vet.
Those at the Rescue thought the two would never get adopted and would live out their lives at the shelter's kennel. Mary Escue refused to separate them as they have been together since birth, and where one goes the other one goes, or they pine for each other.
One day this past September a family called and wanted to adopt Boris and Natasha. Escue couldn't believe what she was hearing. They wanted both dogs. The family had had a Chow Chow for 16 years that had recently passed away. They wanted to rescue another dog and found Boris and Natasha on the SQ Rescue website www.sqrescue.petfiner. com.

Keith and Monica rented a large van to bring their new pets home traveling 600 miles from Florida. They were so pleased with how well cared for they were, and how very sweet and friendly. This was a dream come true for the Rescue. Boris and Natasha now have a warm loving home for the holidays.
