Students donate food to families in need

      Arden Elementary and Logan Elementary are small Richland One schools, but the students have big hearts. On November 20, 2007, students from both schools donated boxes and bags of food to help families in need this Thanksgiving.

Spring Valley junior makes perfect score on all three sections of SAT
      David Harry Richman, a junior in the Discovery Magnet Program at Spring Valley High School scored a perfect 2400 on the SAT. Richman is the first student in Richland Two to earn an 800 on all three sections of the SAT. Tianjia Ge scored a perfect 800 on the math level 2 subject test on the SAT.

Students at Timmerman School help abandoned animals

      The Timmerman School third grade students sponsored a dog and cat food drive in November to help the Columbia Humane Society feed abandoned dogs and cats. The two classes collected 1,600 pounds or a little more than 3/4 of a ton of food.
