      Santa is teaming up with PETS, Inc. to give 20 dogs and 20 cats new families for Christmas. PETS, Inc., the Midlands largest pet rescue organization wants to make the holidays happier for some special families and deserving shelter bound pets.

      The Columbia Animal Shelter, 127 Humane Lane off Shop Road and I- 77, will be open 9 am- 4 pm December 24, 2007. As it is the season of giving, the animal shelter will provide citizens the chance to adopt any pets available at the shelter and give pets the opportunity to find a new loving home.
