Members of the Richland County Sheriff's Department were given promotions at the annual Richland County Sheriff's Department Christmas Awards Banquet. Lieutenant Lancy Weeks was promoted to captain in victim's services, Sergeant Heidi Scott was promoted to lieutenant in victim's services, Investigator Maria Yturria was promoted to sergeant of victim's services, and Senior Deputy Kim Myers was promoted to sergeant in youth arbitration and public information.

Cindi Callaham has joined First Citizens as senior vice president and strategic consulting services manager.

Rabbi Philip Silverstein will be presented the Jewish Community Centers Association's Frank L. Arthur Wozniak, chief of the State Department of Health and Environmental Control's Bureau of Laboratories was presented with the FBI's Director's Community Leadership Award.
