USC Chapter, NSDAR holds December meeting

The USC Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution held a meeting December 12, 2007 in the Confederate and Military Museum of the S. C. State Museum. Dr. Allen Stokes, executive director of the South Caroliniana Library gave the address, History of the Caroliniana Library.

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is an organization whose membership is limited to women who "can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence." Goals of the DAR are patriotism, education and historic preservation.
