South Carolina Wildlife Federation to honor Midlands conservationists

The South Carolina Wildlife Federation (SCWF) will hold the 43rd Annual Meeting & Conservation Awards January 11- 12, 2008 in Greenville.

The Indian Creek Wildlife Habitat Restoration Initiative of Columbia will receive the Wildlife Award. Karissa Ulmer of Lodge will receive the Education Award. Ed Duncan of Columbia will receive the Water Conservation Award, and Hank Stallworth of St. Matthews will receive the Lifetime Achievement in Conservation Award.

Other Conservation Award winners include Youth Award, Travis Cox; Land Conservation Award, Concerned Citizens for Conservation; Forest Conservation Award, Clemson Forest Activities Club; Bootsie Manning Wildlife Habitat Conservation Award, Clemson Univ. Creative Inquiry; Legislative Award, The Honorable Jeffrey Duncan; Communications

Award, The Post and

Courier; Organization Award, City of Walterboro; Harry Hampton Woods and Waters Journalism Award, Dr. John Rheney, III; and the Industrial/ Commercial Award, Ben Johnson.
