Nationally acclaimed hospitality consultant Bill Marvin to assist S.C. independent restaurant owners
Contributed by Douglas OFlaherty

Bill Marvin, "The Restaurant Doctor," will offer a half- day educational session for restaurant owners and managers who want to improve their business and their profitability.

Marvin will present two seminars during the session, one focused on ways to increase a restaurant's sales, and the other on lowering costs without sacrificing quality or service.

The Hospitality Association of S.C.'s Columbia Restaurant Chapter will host the presentation January 17, 8:30 am at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

"Bill Marvin is the leading authority on how good restaurants can become great. He helps independent operators create organizations that can prosper in tough times and bring out their workers' natural ability to deliver exceptional service," said Bobby Williams, president of Lizard's Thicket Restaurants in Columbia.

Seating for the seminar is limited and reservations must be made in advance either online at www.SCHospitality.org or 765-9000. On- site registration won't be available.

The Bill Marvin half- day seminar is $50 per person from Hospitality Association of South Carolina member companies, or $99 per person for nonmembers.
