USC Chapter DAR hears Heroes and Heroines of the Bible

The USC Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held its January meeting at the South Carolina Archives and History Center on Parklane Road, Wednesday, January 9, 2008. The guest speaker was Miss Virginia Brooker.
Brooker is a member of the First Baptist Church of Denmark where she has taught Sunday School classes for more than 20 years. She has a B.A. degree from Columbia College and a M.A. degree from UNC. She is a collection development librarian at Midlands Technical College. She was once chosen as Faculty of the Year, the first time in the history of the college a librarian was selected for this honor.

Next month's DAR meeting will be a luncheon at the Fort Jackson Officer's Club Saturday, February 23, 2008, at noon. South Carolina State Regent Bonnie Glasgow will be the speaker.
