Self portrait wins top award

This art piece is a self- portrait from Eliani Camarena's Gold Key portfolio created by Richland Northeast senior Eliani Camarena.

Camarena won a Gold Key award at the 2008 S.C.Visual Arts Scholastic Competition, the highest honor presented. Her portfolio won the highest honor given to a graduating senior. The portfolio will be entered in the national competition in the spring where awards include scholarships to the nation's top art schools.

Junior Omar Oliphant also won a Gold Key award. She is a student of Mary Catherine Newman.
