DAR invites the public to a genealogy computer workshop

The USC Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution invite the public to participate in a genealogy computer workshop, Saturday, March 22, 2008, 10 am- 3 pm. The workshop will focus on using the computer to find genealogical materials and information on the most helpful websites. The instructors will be Alexia Helsley, noted author, archivist and genealogist, and Brenda Sutton, DAR state organizing secretary.

The workshop will be held at Fast Forward Computer Center at 3233 Devine Street in Columbia across from Dreher High School. The center can be entered from Divine Street or Millwood Avenue.

To attend:

1. Send a check payable to USC Chapter NSDAR for $15 to Mary Caldwell, 3 Copperfield Court, Columbia SC 29209 no later than February 28, 2008.

2. Bring all material you have on ancestors you wish to investigate.

3. Bring a sandwich for lunch. Drinks and bottled water will be provided by USC Chapter of the DAR.
