The Richland Northeast Cavaliers built a 50- 39 lead with 4:32 to go in the game and held on to defeat the Spring Valley Vikings 55- 48 at Spring Valley Tuesday, January 22.

Jamie Shaw's follow of her own miss cut the Cavalier lead to 50- 48 with 1:13 remaining, but Lacresha Hankins' four straight free throws to go along with her 22 points sealed the game for Richland Northeast.

Shaw was charged with an intentional foul after she collided with Khrysten Edens with just under 10 seconds remaining sending Edens crashing into the base of the bleachers alongside the court. Edens lay clutching her head for five minutes, then was helped off the court. She later joined her teammates in the bleachers for the boys' game.
