Yesterday's celebrates 30 years

Darrell Barnes, Sen. John Courson, Scottie MacRae, and Duncan MacRae celebrated Yesterday's 30th birthday during the Five Points Association meeting January 22, 2008, at The Gourmet Shop.
S.C. Senator John Courson (R- Richland) successfully sponsored a resolution in the Senate to commemorate the impact and importance of Yesterday's in Five Points and Central South Carolina on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the restaurant's beginning at the intersection of Devine, Harden, and Santee.

Courson, a long- time occupant of a Shandon house within walking distance of Yesterday's, was a regular 1960s patron at the Owl's Club on Devine Street in the space now occupied by the Village Idiot.
