In a January 25, 2008 article by Mike Maddock entitled Cavs outlast Vikings, it was said that, Richland Northeast's Khrysten Edens "joined her teammates in the bleachers for the boys' game" after she was injured during a collision with Spring Valley's Jamie Shaw. According to Eden's coach, Jeffrey T. Eaddy, Edens definitely did not come back to watch the boys game as reported. She was taken to an emergency room for treatment to her injuries. Doctors did not clear her to play until Friday, February 2 some 10 days later for the Sumter game. Edens scored seven points in that game, which the Cavaliers won 42- 40.
