      One vine will wrap its tendrils around your heart and won't let go. The fast growing 10- foot- tall annual balloon vine, Cardiospermum halicacabum, uses tendrils to tightly wrap around any point of contact like a fence or trellis.

Owl Prowls attract the curious

      Congaree National Park's Owl Prowls will be March 7, 14, 21 at 8 pm; April 4, 11, 18, 19 at 8:30 pm; May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 at 8:30 pm; and June 6, 13 at 8:30 pm. These Ranger- guided two- hour night walks are held in the spring and fall each year.
