Rondo Micajah McIntosh Jr.
1923- 2008

Funeral services for Rondo Micajah McIntosh, Jr., 85, were held Sunday, February 9, 2008, at 4:30 pm at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. Burial was Monday, February 9, 2008, at 1 pm in Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery, Charlotte, North Carolina, The family received friends Saturday from 3- 5 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to Shandon Baptist Church Building Fund, 5250 Forest Drive, Columbia, S.C. 29206.

Mr. McIntosh died Thursday, February 7, 2008. Born in Charlotte, N.C., he was the only son of the late Rondo Micajah McIntosh Sr. and Mabel Wentz McIntosh. Mr. McIntosh served in the Navy in WWII and retired from Certainteed as a sales representative. He was an active member of Shandon Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. Mr. McIntosh also started the wheel chair ministry and helped cook for the men's prayer breakfast. He enjoyed wood working and was a wonderful handy man who could fix anything. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend who was loved by all and will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Myra McIntosh of Columbia; sons, Rondo McIntosh III and his wife, Carolyn of Charlotte; Dr. Wayne McIntosh and his wife, Cindy Cates of Cheverly, Maryland; and Hal McIntosh and his wife, Linda of Lexington; daughter, Wana Reamer and her husband, John of Columbia; grandchildren, Anita Childers, Wanda Helms, Rondo McIntosh IV, Jesse, Lea and Emma McIntosh, Amanda Barnes and Charlie Reamer; and great- grandchildren, Brandon, Kevin, Carson, Zachary, Logan, Aidan and Tyler.
