RNE GAP choir wins in New York
 | | Contributed by Richland Northeast High School Richland Northeast High School's GAP Choir traveled to New York City in February for two major gospel competitions. The group was among more than 20 gospel choirs from throughout the eastern U.S. who competed in the Pathmark Gospel Choir Competition at the World Financial Center. GAP also competed at the Black Music Caucus, where it won four awards and took second place. Currently, GAP Choir Director Joyce Abel wishes for the group to present its own competition in South Carolina.
