Killian student continues family legacy

Terri' Lena Gibson

Terri' Lena Gibson won Little Miss South Carolina Richland County and Little Miss South Carolina Columbia Sweetheart. She is eight years old and is in the second grade at Killian Elementary School where she has been enrolled since Kindergarten. Gibson is a straight A student and is currently on the Principal's Honor Roll. She has been recognized for her participation in Let's Read with the Gamecocks, a talent show sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club, Summer Camp 2007, and she was selected as the student of the week.

Terri' is part of a legacy of relatives who have one beauty pageants. Her cousins Karlisha Gibson won Miss Chesterfield and Karmon Gibson won Wee Miss South Carolina who also attended Killian Elementary. The three cousins will represent their community in the 2008 Little Miss Teen South Carolina June 14- 21, 2008, in Hartsville, South Carolina.

Terri' is the daughter of Terry and Dierdre Gibson, the granddaughter of Trevor and Evelyn Charlton, Haskell and the late Mattie Gibson.
