Columbia College Alumnae meet

The Ariail Chapter of the Columbia College Alumnae Association met February 14, 2008, in Alumnae Hall on the college campus.

Members gathered at 10 am for light refreshments and fellowship. Hostesses were Barbara Courtney Thomas, Class of '57; Dottie Williams, '44; Anne Galloway Hubbard, '46; and Joyce Hart Mann, '56. The Valentine theme was evident. The program was a musical one presented by Dr. Lillian Quackenbush, chair of the Columbia College Music Department. The students majoring in music or music education performed for the group. The students presented musical arrangements in piano, flute, and voice.

Dr. Caroline Whitson, president of Columbia College, was the speaker for the November meeting. The next regular meeting of the chapter will be April 10, 2008, 11 am at the home of Mrs. Jewell Hill. The program will be the annual luncheon.
