Killian Elementary wants volunteer mentors to help children read

Killian Elementary at 6921 Clemson Road is seeking volunteers for its REACH ( Readers Enthusiastic About Climbing Higher) program. This academic mentoring program pairs a student who needs help in reading with a community volunteer.

All volunteers attend a brief orientation session before working with students. Mentors are asked to commit to the same 30 minute session each week.

Volunteers are needed for the following times: Tue. 8:30- 9 am, 9:10- 9:40 am, and 9:50- 10:20 am. If you are interested in becoming a REACH volunteer, Contact Martha Tucker at 699-2981 ext.71205
