Rolling Readers come to Killian Elementary

Killian Elementary has Rolling Readers again this year. These volunteers come once a week and read to the students in the first grade and kindergarten classrooms. One such volunteer, Sophia Johnson reads weekly to Manisha Arceneaux's first graders.

Rolling Readers is the children's division of the Greater Columbia Literacy Council. Their mission is to develop successful, lifelong readers by encouraging the love of reading and learning. Therefore, at the end of the semester or year, each child is presented a book of his very own.
