Clean up the Statehouse grounds

In reference to the letter about the Ben Tillman statue on statehouse grounds. I whole heartedly agree with Steve Adams we need to move it off statehouse grounds or destroy it. And that is making a good start. In the words of a well known talk show host here in the Midlands, Don Frierson, there are even more artifices on the grounds that need to be gotten rid of.

I personally want to see the Confederate flag go into the museum. And I don't think that I am alone. I believe many in our state and perhaps in the nation see the Confederate flag more of a hindrance then a help to this state. And if you go back during the presidential primaries, I know of at least four Republican candidates including the top GOP front runner, John McCain, who really think that the flag should be moved.
