Garden club to meet; Green thumbs invited

The Garden Club Council of Greater Columbia will meet March 24 at the Garden Council Building, 1605 Park Circle, Maxcy Gregg Park. The Board will meet at 9 am. Refreshments prepared by Mimosa Garden Club will be served at 9:30, and the program will begin at 10 am.

Howard Wallace of Wavering Place Gardens & Nursery will discuss native plants of S.C. The public is invited.

The Garden Club Council of Greater Columbia will host their annual Green Thumb Festival on Saturday, April 19 from 9 am to 1 pm.

Classic pass- along plants, roses, perennials, annuals and shrubs will be for sale at the Garden Council Building at a Maxcy Gregg Park, 1605 Park Circle.

Proceeds will be used for community beautification, educational programs and council building maintenance.
