Food service sales cooking at CMCC

The Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center (CMCC) celebrated a record number March 25. The CMCC generated more revenue in the first quarter of 2008 in food service than in any quarter since the convention center opened in September, 2004. The total dollar amount generated in sales was more than $833,000.

Mack Stone, vice president and general manager for the CMCC states, "Our success has been two- fold. Our sales managers have been hitting the ground running and generating an awareness of our facility to statewide and regional meeting planners, therefore resulting in more business.

Secondly, the quality of food service we produce along with the service that comes alongside it, has really enhanced our reputation with event planners and attendees."
