Second annual Pets in the Park coming April 19
Contributed by Richland County Recreation Commission

They say dogs are man's best friend. Bring your "best friend" out to Pets in the Park on Saturday, April 19 at North Springs Park, 1320 Clemson Road from 10 am to 12 pm. This fun family and animal- friendly event will feature local veterinarians, groomers, boarders and many other pet- oriented businesses that will be offering good "pet" information.

Admission to the public is $1. Bring the family to enjoy food, games, and even a dog show at 11:30 am. The dog show entry fee is $3 per dog. Prizes will be given out to the "Best in Show." All pets must be leashed and owners will need to "clean up" after their pets.

Pets in the Park is sponsored by North Springs Park and Richland County Animal Control.

The Richland County Recreation Commission gained CAPRA accreditation in October of 2006 and is the first and only nationally accredited parks & recreation agency in the state of South Carolina.

The commission has served Richland County since 1960. It is dedicated to enhancing the lives and positive experiences of Richland County residents of every age and ability through diverse opportunities for lifelong wellness, personal growth, socialization, and the pursuit of happiness in environments that are creative, safe, affordable, and accessible.
