Midlands Math and Business Academy students win in business competition

Sharome Coleman and Abrianna Adams, two Midlands Math and Business Academy students, traveled to College of Charleston, Charleston, S.C. March 17, 2008 for the 1st Annual College of Charleston SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) Youth Business Plan Competition. The students competed in two categories: business plan presentation and elevator speech.

Sharome Coleman an 8th grade Entrepreneurship student at MMBA received first place in the Business Plan competition and a check for $250. Abrianna Adams received $50 for her elevator speech, which was a sales pitch for her business that had to be completed in 30 seconds.

Gerald Jenkins is the student's advisor and Entrepreneurship Teacher.
