Movie critics aren't the only ones talking about Horton Hears A Who. A group of pre- school students at First Nazareth Child Development Center in Columbia enjoyed hearing all about Horton and the Whoville courtesy of Sen. Darrell Jackson.

Senator Jackson joined the children for an early morning story, reading to them and answering their questions. "It's been years since I've read this book," Jackson told the youngsters, "so you guys are going to have to help me out."

After a few minutes, the children warmed up and were eager to help him along, pointing to the illustrations and providing sound effects for the characters during the story time. Illustrating what educators have long known, Senator Jackson proved you're never too young to learn from, or too old to laugh with, Dr. Seuss.
