Fund created for RNE A.D.
The Richland Northeast family suffered a terrible loss last week with the death of athletics director Mike Starnes. He was diagnosed with brain cancer in January of this year and had been hospitilized since January 28. On Februar y 5, doctors told Starnes' wife he only had a few days to live, but because of the faithful prayers of many, his life was extended until April 17. Starnes turned 44 on March 3 of this year and leaves behind a loving wife and two young daughters.

The school has a fund set up to accept contributions for the family to help cope with the thousands of dollars in medical bills accumulated. Funds will also be used for a memorial to Starnes to be placed on the Richland Northeast campus.
