Petal Pushers Garden Club meets
Contributed by Petal Pushers Garden Club

The country home of Nancy and Billy Reamer was the scene of the April meeting of the Petal Pushers Garden Club. The Lexington County home has been in the Reamer family for many years; it is 75 years old and all of the timber used in the original house was grown on the property. Over the years, many additions and improvements have been made.

The extensive garden is carefully and lovingly maintained by Nancy who is a master gardener. Billy's grandmother rooted and planted many of the azaleas and camellias. The large pond adds to the serenity and also provides water through five irrigation systems. The list of bulbs, perennials, roses, shrubs, and trees is long. The name Sweet Bay was chosen by Billy's grandmother for this gardener's paradise.

The next meeting of the Petal Pushers will by at the Capital City Club May 15.
