The Heathwood Hall Lady Highlanders won the SCISA 3A team track and field championships at Heathwood Hall Saturday, April 26 with a total score of 109.33. They edged out Hammond (104) and Ashley Hall (71.33). Wilson Hall took the boys' championship with a point total of 156, beating out Augusta Christian with 133 and Hammond with 66.

Other notables on the girls' side:

• Heathwood Hall: Carey Roth won the 800 meter run at 2:29.99 and high jump at 5'- 2". Emily Carson won the 100 meter hurdles at 17:28. Arayael Brandner won the shot put at 32 feet and discus at 28.28 m.

• Hammond: Mason Castles won the 1600 meter run at 5:38.56. Margaret Deans Fawcett won the 3200 meter run at 12:41.88. Amber Bennett, Elizabeth Blackmon, Danielle Cantey, and Rossi Theodore won the 4x100 metter relay at 52.00. Rachel Price, Alexandra Little, Jenny Priester, and Rossi Theodore won the 4x400 meter relay at 4:17.25. Madison Kocher and Mary Etta Castles finished one and two respectively on the pole vault at 3.20 and 2.43 m.

Notables on the boys' side:

• Heathwood Hall: Mac Whalen and Brett Whalen finished first and second respectively in the pole vault with 3.65 and 3.35 m.

• Hammond: Steven Harvin, John Hines, Zach Wainright, and Aaron Walters won the 4x100 meter relay at 44.55. Aaron Walters, Taylor Smith, A.D. Briggs, and Cliff Ayers won the 4x400 meter relay at 3:38.16. Cliff Ayers won the high jump at 1.87m.
